Travis Taylor Releases

exas born, California-based worship recording artist Travis Taylor is scheduled to release his highly anticipated album, You Have Loved, on October 14, 2008 through Periday Records in conjunction with Koch Entertainment. Already generating an early buzz among critics, the project contains songs that reach beyond the traditional worship album.  Taylor's work includes reflections on real life struggles, relationships, and the courage to love.

Taylor's desire is to not only create an atmosphere of worship for the listener, but to connect with his audience through songs they can relate to. "I am a worship leader at heart, but I also write songs about my wife; songs about my kids; songs that are just about everyday life," says Taylor.  "I think good music is good music and I don't think people will be confused by hearing a love song next to a worship song on an album, as long as both are great songs."

The Dwayne Larring-produced album has already received rave reviews. Larring's production roster includes worship hits like Matt Redman's "Where Angel's Fear to Tread", and Tim Hughes' "Here I Am To Worship."  Worship Musician Magazine writes, "Taylor has soaked up the musical influences of multiple eras. Indeed, his music retains the solid melodic sensibility of classic writers like Petty, McGuinn and Dylan while adding modern production touches that draw heavily from the Doves/Coldplay/Keane school of atmospheric music. Travis Taylor is an artist who merges a strong musical identity with the heart of a genuine worshipper."

Taylor founded Periday Records in 2008 and recently partnered with Koch Entertainment, which will release his album in multiple formats, beginning with a digital release through iTunes and all other digital music outlets on October 14. Barry Landis, head of Koch's Christian division, comments, "All of us here at Koch Records Faith & Family are thrilled to introduce Travis Taylor to the world. There is something very special about being involved in the launch of a fresh new artist. Travis is a young man with something to say and he possesses the talent to communicate his message in a way that many will want to hear it."

A limited edition 12" vinyl LP will also be available through Taylor's website and at live shows. It will include the full-length album for download plus two bonus tracks.  The CD, which will include four bonus tracks, will hit all major Christian retail outlets in February 2009.
