R A P H A E L is a Contemporary folk Artist. He is part of a fresh new genre of singer/songwriters who have evolved from many styles of music and are enjoying mainstream success. His style is a mix of Country, Folk Rock, Contemporary Christian and Messianic Worship.
R A P H A E L is a respected member of the Nashville Music Community and spent the last few years as the Head of New Media at Capitol Records in Nashville before leaving to tour internationally in support of his latest CD. He writes songs that address faith, hope and the love of God in real-life situations in a matter-of-fact sort of way that provide healing and empathy for the listeners. He is often compared to James Taylor, Bruce Cockburn and his own mentor and former label mate at Myrrh, Phil Keaggy.
As an accomplished guitar player, his songs are laced with acoustic finger style and articulate blues riffs. His music is contagious and memorable and filled with captivating themes. He has performed for a wide variety of audiences including; the Woodstock 25-year anniversary in 1994, The Fast Folk Cafe in NYC, The Bluebird in Nashville, The Creation Festival and many clubs, festivals, fellowships and cafe's throughout the Country and Europe. |
